Role: As the Structural Hull Designer, you work closely with Engineers and other Designers to accurately interpret the engineering design and ensure the design is accurately captured in the 2D/3D design software. You are responsible for ensuring the design produces fit for purpose results in a constructible and organized drawing. As the Structural Hull Designer, you will ensure application of best practices into design work, and you are accountable to the Discipline Manager and/or Discipline Lead for overall performance.
Responsibilities:
- Producing technical drawings in support of engineering activities
- Develop 3D AVEVA Marine Hull model and produce deliverables in accordance with contract requirements
- Produce/Extract 2D Drawings with adequate dimensions necessary to assist the Engineering disciplines
- Perform discipline interface checks, identify conflicts, and take corrective action in coordination with other engineering discipline inputs
- Prepare material take off, review vendor drawings, ensuring vendor specifications are in full compliance with contract requirements
- Provide clarification and technical support
Requirement :
- Experience: 5 + years relevant experience in ship structural design and offshore Oil & Gas industry with specific experience on Hull Design of Offshore Oil and Gas facilities
- Exposure to EPC environments
- Knowledge in basic & detailed Engineering projects
