ROLE PURPOSE
As Site HSSE Site/ Unit Engineer, for your discipline and assigned project(s), on site, you are responsible for ensuring prevention and mitigation of risks to our personnel, assets, the environment and our Company reputation, and for ensuring compliance with all standards, rules and other requirements imposed by Company, Regulators, Clients and other relevant Stakeholders. You play a key role in promoting and embedding strong leadership, positive behaviour and culture amongst the site.
You are the focal point on site to the Project teams.
ROLE CONTRIBUTION
- For your discipline and assigned project/operation(s), on site, in order to ensure risk prevention/mitigation and ensure compliance with all standards, rules and other requirements imposed by Company, Regulators, Clients and other relevant Stakeholders, you are to:
1.1. Cascade the project discipline’s requirements to COMPANY and yard employees on site, and ensure the delivery is aligned with Company standards and client’s contract
1.2. Foster and sustain a strong partnership with COMPANY and yard employees on site
1.3. Conduct regular controls on site to ensure appropriate preventive and corrective actions are put in place, timely monitor their implementation and report on it at RC, project or operations level
1.4. Participate to vendor/subcontractor qualification, to ensure they comply with Company standards (as required)
1.5. Drive continuous improvement of contractors’ delivery on site, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are put in place
1.6. Consult the relevant internal partners to be up-to-date on Group requirements
1.7. Share on best practices, develop initiatives to learn from current and past projects
The measure of your effectiveness in this will be: · Project Management and Client’s satisfaction of the quality of the delivery · Fulfilment of all the controls on time with clear reporting · Performance results achieved by the project · Managing deviations and mitigating measures during the execution phase
- For your discipline and assigned project (s), on site, in order to embed a strong leadership and culture, you are :
2.1. Continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the Project
2.2. Actively contribute to the deployment of training programmes and communication campaigns
The measure of your effectiveness in this will be: · Survey results after campaigns and trainings
- In order to have a highly efficient and successful team, you are to:
3.1. Request the appropriate resources to work on site
3.2. Coordinate and manage the site team
3.3. Ensure the site team has the right information, tools and training to perform their job and achieve objectives
3.4. Monitor and report site team performance
3.5. Develop competencies and capacity
The measure of your effectiveness in this will be: · Project Manager and direct Manager’s satisfaction of the delivery · Performance achieved by the site team · Managing deviations and mitigating measures during the execution phase
